17. 3. 2010: The Czech Republic filed an appeal Against the Strasbourg Court’s decision that convicted it of violations of fundamental human rights in the context of the so-called pseudo squeeze out (see news from October 19, 2009) but the appeal was not even accepted for consideration and was rejected straight on 1 March 2010. It has thus been legally and lawfully decided that the Czech authorities acted unlawfully when they did not grant to minority shareholders the right to a judicial review of legality of General Meetings’ resolutions that main shareholders were using to deprive minority shareholders of their property in shares, to their own benefit. Unfortunately, by their unsuccessful appeal, the state authorities of the Czech Republic only proved that they apparently intend to continue in their illegal conduct.
